The Dressing Up Chest, based in West London, makes bespoke, handmade fancy dress costumes for children. As well as individual outfits for dressing up games, fancy dress parties and birthday parties, the Dressing Up Chest serves dance schools and stage schools throughout London, offering a full bespoke costume service. The Dressing Up Chest will take care of the design, measurements, production and final fittings.
The Dressing Up Chest uses top quality materials and aims to provide excellent value for money. Each fancy dress costume is individually made and all dressing up costumes are sturdy enough to withstand children’s high-action activity levels.
You can choose from the collection of ready-to-wear costumes available online or place a bespoke order. As each costume is bespoke and made by hand, it is no problem to design your own costume.
If you would like the Dressing Up Chest to suggest ideas, we have literally hundreds to choose from. We have ballet tutus a-plenty. These can also be made to order. For Fancy Dress costumes, consider our very popular Dorothy Dress, which is a replica of the original dress worn by Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz. We also have little clown suits, cute cowgirl and cowboy outfits in faux suede, Alice in Wonderland outfits, Snow Leopard jump suits, little sailor costumes and lots more. If your children are performing on stage, we have a wide array of kid’s stage wear outfits such as dance dresses and suits. We have playing card costumes (hearts, diamonds), angel outfits, pirate suits and of course nativity costumes.
We have a full range of essential accessories to perfect each outfit – such as angel's wings, wands, sparkling hair bands, little string bags.
