TROPICAL BEDDING & TROPICAL BANANA (MUSA)
The tropical bedding plants including exclusive varieties of bananas can be planted outside during the Summer months (May - September) and make a fantastic alternative to usual summer bedding.
All the plants in this category should be planted in a warm sheltered position protected from strong winds and preferably with light (dappled) shade. The soil should be kept moist and regular light liquid feeding would be beneficial.
EXOTICS - INTERIOR LANDSCAPING
The interior landscaping tropicals are for interior use for home and office, conservatories and atriums - interior plants should be cared for as follows:
Home & Office
All Plants in these situations are far better grouped together as they create a "mini" climate around each other. They should be kept away from direct sunlight to avoid scorching and wilting of the foliage. Placing them on trays or saucers with gravel and water improves the humidity around the plants which is very beneficial but ensure they are not sitting in the water.
Conservatories & Atriums
In general plants installed in conservatories will need protection from direct sunlight to avoid scorching of the leaves. The humidity will need to be maintained in balance with temperature (around 70 degrees F) eg temperature 70 degrees F humidity 65 degrees F. This can be achieved by spraying the plants and/or installing humidifiers on the radiators.
With large displays in atriums advice should be sought from us because of expenditure involved. Paramount Plants & Gardens offer a specialist design service which in some instances includes maintenance.
Paramount Plants & Gardens can also offer exclusively a new collection of beautiful foliage and flowering plants for the connoisseur exoticists to add to their gardens.
