Venn Street Market on Clapham Common is now a weekly fixture, starting Saturday 1st October 2011!
This local food market originally started out just once a month but due to its loyal following and great support from local visitors the market has expanded and now includes artisan food producers, plants and craft stalls and will be a destination market for shoppers from all over South London.
The artisan food producers and stall holders have been sourced from across London and you will find renowned favourites such as Neal's Yard dairy, Mons cheesemongers cheese lovers delight!, comptoir Gormand (delicious gateaux and pastries created using traditional French patisserie methods) and Gastronomica offering a wonderful selection of the finest Italian food products - all hailing from Borough Market and/or Maltby Street.
Exciting new faces that are destined to become popular (also from Maltby Street) - Jacob's Ladder Farm (organic meats and bio dynamic meat, oats and rare breed organic eggs)
Hook & Son (producers of organic raw, semi skimmed and skimmed milks, butters, creams and yoghurts) and now in the final six of the Sussex farmers of the year award 2011/2012,
Wild Country Organics from Cambridgeshire and Ash Green Organics from Tonbridge (producers and suppliers of fresh seasonal organic fruit and veg),
Eat My Pies (award winners of classic British pies and traditional tarts),
Garlic Wood Farm (producers of traditional and rare-breed livestock) in Nuthurst on the Sussex Downs,
The Ham & Cheese Company (also from Maltby Street - selling Italian and Basque cheese and meat imported directly from farmers and producers in Italy, France and Spain) and
Yam the Cassava (Creole food from Barbados) - straight from fame at the Glastonbury Festival - everyone was talking about this food stall there!
All of these passionate and dedicated artisan producers provide exceptionally quality food and drink!
