Or you can test the tidal waters of the Thames, commencing from Tower Bridge, if you have a little more canoeing experience.

Whatever your level - experienced canoeist to kayaking novice, there is a Thames River Adventures trip that will suit you. It’s great fun, stress free and surprisingly relaxing and calming. There are a number of set tours you can choose from, but bespoke trips can also be arranged. Each trip will be personally instructed and guided by at least one of the friendly and knowledgeable Thames River Adventures team. The selected routes are charming, with lots of wildlife and you will discover London in a new light.

The Regent's Canal Trips – these Central London tours commence in beautiful Regent's Park and take you from London Zoo to bustling Camden Town. You can join the day trip or the romantic sunset trip. If you are a morning person, you can join the early sunrise trip - a more enchanting start to the day is hard to imagine, with London’s many birds bursting into song, joined by the sound of exotic animals waking up as you paddle through London Zoo.

The Hampton Court Tours - Hampton Court on the banks of the River Lugg was once King Henry VIII’s 15th Century Mansion House. Now it is a stunning estate whose grounds are home to a fascinating collection of wildlife and birds. It is particularly renowned for its spectacular gardens. Bring your binoculars for this trip. This tour can be taken at sunrise, lunch time or at sunset. The lunch time tour also includes a break for lunch at a charming riverside pub.

The Tower Bridge Tours – again trips are available in early morning, daytime and evening slots. As this involves kayaking on the tidal Thames, these tours depend on tidal conditions. Some experience is also preferable but lessons can easily be arranged.

All water tours are accompanied by a qualified instructor and meet required health and safety guidelines. The meeting points are accessible via public transport and parking is generally available nearby. Kayaks and all necessary equipment are provided. Maximum group size is 12 kayaks.

Bespoke Tours are also available and the Thames River Adventure team can cater for tours lasting anything from one day to an entire week. The most popular bespoke tour is a 3 day trip, starting at Oxford and finishing either at Winsor Castle or Henley-on-Thames (famous for the Henley Regatta).

Tuition can be arranged in either one-to-one or in small groups. Thames River Adventures have a lot of experience in arranging custom tours and are happy to make suggestions based on your specific requirements.
