Visit an emporium of unique glassware, designer table glasses, recycled glassware and handblown Mexican glasses.
Milagros was established in 1990 and the stock is directly selected by the owners from the workshop in Mexico. All the range is handmade from recycled glass, discarded glass and pepsi bottles are collected and melted down to produce these wonderful designs in vibrant colours. The methods used by this small family run glass workshop use traditional methods that haven't change in centuries. Each piece is unique as each piece is handmade and handblown, constructed at a lesser temperature than is used in the normal lead glass process, the finish is thicker and contains air bubbles - these are a characteristic of these designs.
The glass is an evolving blend of Mexican sensibilities influenced by American and Scandinavian design of the 20ís, traditional techniques and designs commissioned by buyers.
These glass designs are dishwasher safe. Our shop is in the heart of the Sunday Market at Columbia Road, we're open Sundays 9.00am -3.00pm or by appointment.
