The Dressing Room is a vintage clothing and dress agency shop located in Brick Lane in the heart of London's East End.  Brick Lane has long been a top London destination for vintage shopping. This new clothing shop in Cheshire Street specialises in quality vintage clothing and accessories for women and men. Main eras are the 1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's with particular emphasis on those iconic designer brands from swinging London - BIBA, Mary Quant, Jeff Banks, Ossie Clark and Zandra Rhodes.

The interior has more than a hint of the 'BIBA' style, funky wallpaper and beautiful retro lighting sets the scene for a pandora's box of coats, gala and evening dresses, scarves and hats, boots, belts, shoes and handbags. As with most vintage shops it's a matter of searching through to uncover a find!

While we were there, a guy found a perfectly fitting pair of crocodile cowboy boots, hardly worn and a snip at £75 - they probably cost four times that price initially...
True to it's East End roots and mentioning no names - men can find cashmere crombies and silk ties, quality suits that have been scarcely worn since their creation 30 or 40 years ago. Lovingly stored in someones wardrobe - they now see the light of day at The Dressing Room and are just waiting to claim their new owner...

The shop also operates as a Dress Agency and has a growing range of nearly new designer brands. These sit alongside the vintage collection - there's a good range of designer handbags from brands such as Gucci, Fendi, Chanel, Mulberry, Marni. Dresses and blouses by Georgio Armani, Cavalli Jeans and many others.

Please call her first before coming to the shop - she prefers to look at new stock during Tue - Thurs as the shop is far too busy at the weekends.
