Felt fashion specialists Shirdak in Amsterdam have a gallery almost exclusively offering felt clothing and felt accessories for the home. This wonderful range of felt scarves, stoles and felt hats are by Dutch designers and the felt slippers and children's felt slippers are imported from makers in Uzbekistan and Tajkistan. This Asian felt clothing has been created by artisans in the Orient and imported by the owner Marianne Tuerlings, she has been working with these designer makers for many years, there is also a regular exhibition at the gallery showcasing the work of artisans from all over the world. Shirdak's range of felt clothing includes waistcoats, scarves, stoles, hats, gloves and slippers from selected felt designers, some are Dutch designers and others are artists from Central Asia and Eastern Europe. All the artists are chosen for their unique use of felt, the quality of their designs and colours. Many of the clothing designs from Dutch designers can be made to measure, you can choose the style and colour you like the best and it can be made in your size.
