London’s most famous flower market – Columbia Road

Finally we’ve had some sunshine here in London and as last weekend was the spring Bank Holiday weekend  we headed off to check out the offerings at Columbia Road Market. As soon as you see people walking along with enormous cascading bouquets of flowers or staggering under the weight of enormous palm trees – you know you have arrived! Chez Elles Bistroquet – French Bistro in Brick Lane

A little corner of Paris in Georgian London…
We’ve been following the very successful Huguenot Festival in Spitalfields this month and came across what sounded like a promising French bistro in the unlikely setting of Brick Lane. Well why not? Just because Brick Lane has been synonymous with curry houses for the past couple of decades doesn’t mean things can’t change.
