We were invited to Islington Design Centre this week for the Country Living Spring Fair Gala Evening.
The fair is renowned for showcasing the very best innovative British designer/makers, designer interiors specialists and artisan craftspeople and the exhibition space was filled to capacity. Featuring home and interiors, gardens and outdoor living, crafting, fashion and accessories, artisan food and drink.
With so much to see – we’ve featured just a few of our favourites here:
The Pret a Vivre team gave us a warm welcome, displays included their new collection of voile drapes and the new Huntsman range alongside their signature curtain and blind collection. London shops are located in Islington, Notting Hill and Fulham.
We were drawn towards a stand that was surrounded by animated customers all commenting on their preferences – on closer look we discovered the witty mugs and tea towel designs from Bottle Green Homes were the source of captivation. We know a few Londoners that would love these as gifts 🙂 you know who you are!
Gardens and outdoor living are well represented and metalwork designers Moore Designs had some very beautiful iron garden obelisks, archways and spheres – ideal structures for training rambling roses or wisteria and clematis, these graceful curves are maintenance free, perfect for romantic garden designs. Based in West Sussex their very reasonable prices include delivery and you can buy online.
For rustic kitchen enthusiasts – visit Alex Pole’s stand – beautiful Somerset oak boards with Pyranean knives were our favs and we also liked the iron table lamp stands and kitchen utensil racks with butchers s-hooks all made by hand in their Somerset forge.
The Country Living Spring Fair is on every day until Sunday 24th March and with the weather forecast this weekend – why not go along for some inspirational ideas for when spring does actually arrive!
