Textile Fairs London 2013, November 29th and 30th 2013
For the third year running, the Selvedge Winter Fair takes place in the Chelsea Old Town Hall. Hosted by Selvedge, illustrious magazine for high quality textiles, the Winter Fair brings together over 100 exhibitors whose artisan products are of the highest standard. You will find an eclectic mix of handcrafted textiles sourced from exotic locations around the world, including vintage linens, antique textiles and handmade felts.
The Selvedge Winter Fair is an ideal size and has a cosy, intimate atmosphere. You have the opportunity to meet the artists, designer makers, potters and jewellers. It is also the perfect destination for original gift ideas for Christmas – there is much to delight the discerning eye.

Spotlight on: Shirdak, stall B10. Based in Amsterdam, Shirdak is a gallery specialising in handmade textiles and felts made by the nomadic tribes of Central Asia, using ancient traditions. All products are fair trade and sourced in person by gallery owner Marianne Tuerlings. This year, Shirdak is showcasing a range of beautiful handmade felt hats, little felt ornaments and charming felt Christmas nativity sets.
