Well even though we’ve had one of the mildest winter’s on record, with all this rain it hasn’t been that encouraging to get the bike out of storage. These last few days the sun is shining – the vastness of London awaits, so first stop is get a bike service at The Bicycle Workshop.
This diminutive workshop in the heart of Notting Hill on All Saints Road has been fixing and selling bikes for years, they have a huge loyal following and not just from the local area, this is just the place to visit if your bicycle has been off the road for a few months – get it checked and ready for spring!
Ninon is the Dutch owner and she knows about bikes – testament to this is the queue of people waiting to book in their bikes on a Saturday morning, the list is usually full shortly after she arrives at around 8am. So don’t even think of turning up after 8.30am on a Saturday – best is to book it in during the week if possible.
Special Tip: Bicycle Workshop specialises in the service and repair of Dutch bikes…so if you’re one of those lucky people owning a Gazelle, Batavus or Koga Miyata – this is the place for you…
Bicycle Workshop sells all kinds of biking accessories and they sell bicycles to order, so if you want a Brompton or Paper Bicycle come and speak to the experts here – they will advise and set up your bike.
They will even set up bikes that you didn’t buy from them!
Check out their website – they have some decent offers on there…
