21st Century Village congratulates Wijngaard Kaas on winning Gold & Silver medals at Nantwich Cheese Show 2011

Wijngaard Cheeses, makers of the Aged Gouda Reypenaer, are widely recognised as among the best Dutch cheeses in the Netherlands. The Wijngaard Group has won top prizes at the Nantwich International Cheese Show almost every year since 2005 and this year proved to be no exception.

Yesterday at Nantwich, Wijngaard Cheese was awarded a Gold Medal for its flavoured cheese, Old Affiné with Ginger. This is a speciality flavoured cheese which is traditionally matured for 10 months. This is the second consecutive year that this cheese has been a gold medal winner at Nantwich in its category.

For its artisan goat’s cheese Wyngaard Chèvre Affiné, Wijngaard was awarded a Silver Medal in the category for tbest hard pressed goat’s cheese.
