In the great tradition of the end of week sale at Chelsea Flower Show, Clifton Nurseries is introducing a new, regular Friday afternoon sell-off of outdoor plants at the nursery each week from Friday 1st July 2011.
‘Seconds’ or slightly imperfect seasonal bedding plants, shrubs, herbaceous plants and assorted items such as herbs or climbers will be discounted by up to 50% and will be available between 4pm-6pm. They will be displayed on a special ‘Friday Afternoon Sale’ shelf outside Clifton’s Florist shop.
“Some of the plants are put in the Friday Sale because they may be slightly weather damaged, or are just nearing their seasonal date” explains Lucy Roberts, Clifton Nurseries’ outdoor nursery manager. “They will still be of fantastic quality and an absolute bargain, so this is a real opportunity for passionate gardeners to regularly pick up some great horticultural gems each week – sometimes at half the price. We expect them to sell out pretty quickly so it is worth getting here sooner rather than later if you can”.
Sale stock will be updated weekly and will change seasonally; the plant sale will become a permanent fixture at Clifton and available all year, except December and will be in addition to Clifton Nurseries’ traditional sales in Summer and New Year.
Clifton Nurseries is two minutes from Warwick Avenue Station and ten minutes from Oxford Circus by tube.
