Art Deco - Djoeke Wessing is an aladdin's cave, almost every inch of this store is taken up with Art Deco treasures, the entire ceiling is covered in Art Deco chandeliers, ceiling lamps, pendant lights, they also have an amazing selection of wall lamps, table lamps and sconces. Most of the designs are completely original, some are hybrids - original lampshades with a reproduction base and some are entirely reproduction. These are made to the highest quality and attention to detail.
As well as lighting there is an exciting range of fabulous Art Deco fabrics suitable for reupholstery and soft furnishings and many other Art Deco home accessories.
Visitors are welcome to the shop - which is situated in the heart of the famous 9 Streets District of Amsterdam. This area is famous for it's unique and specialist businesses.

Cornelis Johannes - one of Amsterdam's top interior decor specialists - has in stock a very special collection of lamps which are produced from combining 'vintage' ceramic lamp stands by designer such as Mobach, Ravelli or Zaalberg, with lamp heads especially hand made to match the lamp stands.
The concept is that these lamp stands can then be combined with ceramic works from other designers such as Rosenthal, Kaiser, Lomonosov, van Loon, van der Vaart or Paul Odekerken.

The concept of Ethnic Chic the charming interiors shop, located in Amsterdam’s famous 9 Streets district, is to offer a unique selection of handpicked designers from around the world, representing a fusion blend of western culture and oriental lands. Fortuny style silk lamps hang from the ceilings and walls, Maharaja bed covers, cushions and hand stitched quilts elegantly drape over antique Chinese beds. Eye-catching ethnic textiles are stunningly arranged in and displayed from antique Chinese dressers and chests. The finishing touches to this tastefully arranged interior heaven are produced by strategically placed pieces of Venetian hand-blown glassware and ceramics throughout the shop.

Vintage lighting, retro lamps - Amsterdam, The Netherlands This stunning shop in the heart of the vibrant Pijp district of Amsterdam specialises in vintage and mid century lighting.
All pieces are of course original so the stock changes constantly and there's always a fascinating range of Dutch designer lighting, Italian murano chandeliers and rare Italian mid century designer lamps as well as the well known designers such as Verner Panton and Guzzini. 20th century classic lighting designs including wall scones and floor lamps with flamboyant chandeliers, all displayed in semi 'room settings' with their eclectic range of mid century designer furniture.
The owners Misja Lacet and Edwin de Koeyer are helpful and extremely knowledgable.
Their choices make this such an interesting shop and as everything is a one-off original there is always something new to be found here.
