Jessica Padt is a specialist re-upholsterer, her work has been featured in Elle Decoration, Résidence and Cosmopolitan. Her speciality is restoring and reupholstering mid century design furniture and antique furniture - vintage pieces by Dutch furniture company's Artifort and Gispen alongside antique button chairs or chesterfields. All the work is completed in her workshop in the heart of the Jordaan.
Jessic'as shop is also her workshop and it's a delightful place to visit as she has filled it with an eclectic mix of furniture and furnishings that have evolved from her own personal work and her current obsessions!

Scheel & Melkonian is situated in a beautiful old coach house in Amsterdam's Spiegelkwartier, the most famous area for antiques in the whole of Amsterdam.
For almost 10 years now, Scheel & Melkonian has specialised in the highest quality Chinese furniture, ornaments and artefacts. Their collection, which is displayed over three whole floors of their stunning showroom, includes an extensive range of Chinese beds and Chinese tables & chairs. The lacquered console tables, dining tables and antique cabinets probably includes some of the finest examples in The Netherlands. To adorn the furniture is an exciting range of Chinese statues and many are religious in origin, classical ornaments and screens complete the collection. Carved door frames, doors, screens and window screens can be found here, all are unique and handmade along with an extensive range of felt rugs, cushions, ottomans and shyrdak carpets.
They welcome visitors to the shop to see and touch the furniture, clothing and textiles.
